Islam Re-Observed: Clifford Geertz in Morocco

American and Moroccan experts met at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) to discuss the impact of Clifford Geertz’s Moroccan works on American anthropology and social sciences. Participants included: Professors Susan Slymovics, Paul Rabinow, Dale Eickelman, Abdelhay Moudden, Mokhtar Ghambou, Kevin Dwyer, Elizabeth Fernea, Hassan Rachik, Lawrence Rosen, Stefania Pandolfo; international development consultant Thomas Dichter; and Mayor of Sefrou Hassan Ouchak.
